APD says OMI continues to investigate death of infant

APD says an investigation continues into what caused the death of an infant found dead at a home on Nov. 20.
Doctors told investigators that there were no obvious signs of trauma to indicate physical abuse.
However, they could not say why the child died.
According to police, the Office of the Medical Investigator is looking into the possibility that the child consumed medications belonging to a family member.
The toxicology could take several weeks, so it may be some time before OMT can give a verified cause of death.
