Man charged in Albuquerque motel death

Albuquerque police have arrested a man and charged him with murder in the death of an unidentified man found Tuesday at a motel.

Police say Jamie Vigil has been booked on an open count of murder in connection with the death of an unidentified man at the Imperial Inn at 701 Central Ave NE.

Officers arrived to investigate a reported disturbance there at about 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Vigil was found walking through the hotel complex with blood on his hands, face and person.

Officers then located a dead man in one of the hotel rooms that was found in disarray with the door open.

The victim has yet to be identified and interviews are still being conducted.
