APD IDs hotel murder victim

Albuquerque police have identified a man who was found dead Tuesday in a metro area hotel as 27-year-old Robert Sanchez.

Police arrested Jamie Vigil in connection with the Sanchez's death at the Imperial Inn at 701 Central Ave NE. He faces murder charges.

Officers arrived to investigate a reported disturbance at the hotel at approximately 3 a.m. Tuesday. Vigil was found walking through the hotel complex with blood on his hands, face and person.

Officers then located a dead man in one of the hotel rooms that was found in disarray with the door open.
