The FBI is hoping a reward will help them find whoever shot a park ranger five years ago.

Alfred Chavez was shot in the leg near Abiuiu lake back in 2007. He survived.

Chavez was investigating a pump house after noticing someone tampered with the lock , and that’s when two men ran out.

One of them fired a shot that hit Chavez above the knee. Chaves says the shooting did not just hurt him, but it also affected his personal relationships.

“I have a lot of anger, agitated,” he said. “ I was to the point that my wife or anybody that was close to me would tell me something and I would end up snapping at them – taking out my anger.”

There is a $55,000 reward for information leading to any arrests.
