An Albuquerque woman who faced foreclosure will now get to keep her home and studio - all thanks to her late husband's art.

One week ago, we told you about Kristen Wilson, whose husband Fred, an accomplished potter, passed away earlier this year.

His medical issues put the couple behind on their mortgage payments.

So last Sunday, Wilson had an art sale to raise the $35,000 she needed to pay the payments and penalities to save their home.

Wilson told KOB that she met that goal, thanks in part to the extra exposure from our story.

Wilson said she will also be able to continue to hold workshops for children at the home studio.
