Knitters 'yarn bomb' Biotanic Gardens

Albuquerque's annual River of Lights has been 'yarn bombed.'
Yarn bombing is a type of street art.
Knitters wound, wrapped and crocheted miles of yarn into fun displays: A snowman sculpture was fitted with a hat and scarf, blankets cover ant and carrot statues, and another ant sculpture was bundled up with leg warmers.
"This is the first year we've done it," Katy Anderson, of the BioPark Society, said. "So we're excited about the outcome from this and hope to continue this new tradition at the garden."
The public is invited to see the yarn bombing at the Botanic Garden every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or during River of Lights, which runs every night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
