Thousands of dollars is being offered for information in an extreme case of animal abuse.

There is a $5,000 reward for information about the person or people who abused the dog named 'Mercy.'

She was found in Valencia County with multiple gunshot wounds, gashes all over her body, and her jaw had also been wired shut at some point, suggesting she was used to train other dogs to fight.

Mercy has had surgery and could be ready to go home to a foster family soon.

Anyone with any information about her abusers are asked to please call the state's animal cruelty hotline at 877-5-HUMANE.
