The Downtown Action Team is looking for new and creative ways to bring residents from around the metro into Downtown Albuquerque.

The latest idea is a Winter Market on Gold Street between 1st and 2nd. Vendors are selling arts, crafts, jewelry, and locally grown organic food.

The hope is that the market will draw in new shoppers, despite any misconceptions they have heard about downtown.

"We've got great things that are attractive enough that people will come and overcome any obstacles to getting there," said Rick Rennie, Chairman of the Downtown Action Team.

The fair continues Saturday Dece. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
