SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Voter turnout dropped this year, with only about 63 percent of eligible voters casting ballots in New Mexico's general election.

The state Canvassing Board certified the winners Friday with the exception of one legislative race that's awaiting a recount.

About 786,500 voters cast ballots in the general election.

The turnout rate is the lowest since the 2000 presidential election when 63 percent of voters participated.
