Albuquerque Public Schools are increasing security on Wednesday due to the rumor of an anonymous Facebook message that threatened a shooting at a public school on 12-12-12.

APS spokeswoman Monica Armenta said it is difficult to grade the credibility of the threat because it is anonymous, but said they will increase security from APS police and from APD, also.

APS recently uncovered a threat in September at Tony Hillerman Middle School.

Authorities at the school said two boys admitted to a plot where they planned on shooting up the school and then killing themselves on today's date, 12-12-12.

The students were expelled and APS said they would also pursue counseling for the students.

This threat is different from the September incident, according to APS.

But they are still taking every precaution and want to ensure parents that children will be safe at school.
