Farmington police officer injured by suspected drunk driver

A Farmington police officer was injured Wednesday when his car was hit by a suspected drunk driver.

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office says Farmington Police Officer Tyler Brown was injured in a crash at the intersection of East Main Street and Butler Avenue.

He was treated at San Juan Regional Medical Center for minor injuries and released.

The driver of the other vehicle, Cody Olachea, 25 - along with a 21 year old female passenger-  were transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Olachea was arrested on suspicion of DWI by the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office.

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the crash.
