Shooting victim had ties to NM

KOB Eyewitness News 4 has learned that a girl who used to live in Rio Rancho was one of the children killed in the shootings.
Rio Rancho Public School District officials confirmed that Emilie Parker - who was among the victims - went to Maggie Cordova Elementary last year.
"As the deep pain begins to settle into our hearts, we find comfort reflecting on the incredible person Emilie was," Emilie's father Robbie Parker said. "I've actually been teaching her Portuguese, and our last conversation was in Portuguese. She asked how I was doing, I told her I was well, she told me she loved me, and I kissed her."
We also learned Robbie Parker previously worked at Presbyterian Hospital.
School officials extended their sympathies to all the victims' families.
