A vigil will be held Monday night in Rio Rancho for a little girl gunned down in the school shooting Friday in Connecticut.
Emilie Parker was one of 20 children killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings Friday.
Parker, 6, attended Maggie Cordova Elementary School in Rio Rancho last year.
The vigil will begin at 6 p.m. at Cabezon Park in Rio Rancho, on Cabezon near Unser.

Albuquerque Public Schools will have counselors on hand at Maggie Cordova on Monday to talk to students who knew Emilie.
The district is also providing counseling tips online for parents talking to their kids about the shootings.
