Authorities discourage travel on US 550 near Bloomfield

San Juan County Sheriff's deputies are discouraging people from traveling southbound on US 550 near Bloomfield on Wednesday afternoon.
The sheriff says that, due to blowing snow, there is limited visibility from the city of Bloomfield to the county line.
Traffic on that stretch of the road is being highly discouraged for safety reasons.
