SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - The Northern Pueblo Housing Authority has been awarded federal funds for development projects at three New Mexico Pueblos.
NPHA was awarded Wednesday a $145,000 grant through USDA Rural Development's Rural Community Development Initiative program for Picuris, San Ildefonso and Tesuque Pueblos.
That program provides technical assistance and training funds to create more housing, community facilities, and community and economic development projects in rural areas.
USDA Rural Development State Director Terry Brunner said the grant will help with job creation and business opportunities at the pueblos.
