Valencia Co. drug bust yields drugs, guns and money

Valencia County Sheriff's Deputies teamed up with state and federal agencies Thursday morning for a major drug bust.
Deputies seized rifles, cash, heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine.
The arrests came after a seven month investigation by the narcotics task force.
Deputies went out in the Meadowlake area Thursday morning with 13 warrants.
Fourteen arrests were made.
Valencia County Sheriff Louis Burkhard said the operation was about more than just getting drugs off the streets.
"I find that when we effectively work narcotics, it significantly reduces property crime because our burglaries and property crimes, and some violent crimes, are related directly to narcotics," he said
Four of the arrests made were on warrants unrelated to the investigation.
