A holiday drive for Albuquerque's shelter pets was a huge success.

KOB Eyewitness news 4 stopped by the eastside shelter to see the donations from Operation Silent Night.

The city asked for people to donate food, toys, and even clothes for the pets.

The shelter received so many donations - they filled  up a room at the shelter.

Santa Claus also stopped by to share treats with the animals.

He said you can help the pets by getting a friend a gift certificate to take one of the animals home.
