Rio Arriba Co. Sheriff to take the stand

The Rio Arriba County Sheriff is expected to take the stand this week in a controversial trial in Santa Fe.
Juan Cordova is accused of hitting and killing a motorcyclist, while driving drunk last year near Espanola.
Before the trial, a towing company destroyed the truck Cordova is alleged to have been driving during the incident, saying it had permission to do so from the sheriff's office.
Two witnesses also claim they were coerced by deputies into claiming they rode with Cordova at the time of the crash. They now say they never met him before the trial.
