The Santa Fe Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant in connection to a shooting Tuesday night that killed two people at the Valle Vista Subdivision.
Joe C. Rivera, 18, is wanted for the shootings of John Griego, 23, and Nicholas Baker, 29. Police said they were killed at about 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Valle Vista Court just south of the city limits.
Griego was pronounced dead at the scene and Baker died at the hospital. Both men were shot several times, police said.
The men were apparently shot during an altercation at a small Christmas party in the neighborhood, police said.
Griego and Baker were believed to have been friends.
No weapons were found near where the shooting took place, deputies told KOB Eyewitness News 4.
Rivera is 5'5" and weighs 148 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Rivera, the Santa Fe Sheriff's Office is asking that you contact them at 505-428-3720 or Santa Fe Crime Stoppers at 505-955-5050.
