LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say they've identified a man killed late last week after being run over at southern New Mexico truck stop as a Tennessee resident.

The Luna County Sheriff's Office says 42-year-old Charles Surber Jr. of Morristown was under a trailer at a truck stop west of Deming on Friday when the driver of the big rig backed up.

The driver then pulled forward and drove around the truck stop without realizing what had happened.

A sheriff's office report obtained by the Las Cruces Sun-News says a truck stop employee saw Surber lying on the ground after the tractor-trailer pulled away.

He was dead when emergency medical crews arrived.
