Jury finds Juan Cordova guilty of driving drunk, killing a motorcyclist near Chimayo last spring.

That's according to the First Judicial District Attorney's office in Santa Fe.

Cordova was accused of crashing his truck while drunk into Debbie Hill and her husband Mark Wolfe while they were riding their motorcycles Memorial Day weekend along State Road 76.

Hill survived, but Wolfe died at the scene.

The high profile, multi-day trial resumed Thursday after the Christmas holiday.

Rifts plagued the case including a delay in getting a blood test from Cordova after the crash and the truck Cordova was driving during the crash - a vital piece of evidence - was destroyed by the tow company. The company stated it was ordered to do so by the Rio Arriba Sheriff's Office.
