Better Then The Bearcats

In my opinion there were two reasons the Lobos beat another Big East team. First Alex Kirk played the best game he has ever played as a Lobo. Second Steve Alford strategy on the final possession was spot on. Kirk scored 15-points and grabbed 7-rebounds but it was his aggressiveness that was unmatched by the Bearcats. With the Lobos up by one, Steve Alford had two fouls to give. After a foul by Kendall Williams and a foul by Tony Snell the Bearcats 4-seconds to try and beat the Lobos. Sean Kilpatrick's 3-pointer was blocked by Kirk and the Lobos had their win. Now the 13-and-1 Lobos take on Saint Louis on New Year's Eve.
