The TSA made a holiday haul at airports across the country last week of both real and look-alike weapons that included two hand grenades at the Albuquerque Sunport.

In all, TSA discovered 10 grenades at airports last week: two in Albuquerque, three in Dallas, and one apiece in Salt Lake City, Tampa, Miami, Harlingen, Texas and Gulfport Mississippi.

A plot? No. TSA agents said It's business as usual, people packing novelty items. But they said they're seeing it way too often and it slows up the whole boarding security process for everybody.

Sunport passengers like Ben Whittaker agree.

"It's probably something you should mail home," Whittaker suggested. "It would make more sense just because it's got a lot of metal in it, so they probably don't want that going through metal scanners and stuff like that, setting it off prematurely."

Some other TSA discoveries during the heavily traveled holiday season included handguns of all varieties, with ammo in many cases. You can have them in your checked luggage, but you must disclose that to the airline.

One man had a switchblade in his pocket at the airport in San Diego.

A razor blade turned up in the waistband of a pair of jeans in a carry-on bag at Chicago's O'Hare Airport.

And TSA agents found three saw blades taped to the inside of an iPod case in Washington DC.

You can get cited and even arrested for having prohibited items in your bag, so check your stuff before you head to the airport and save yourself some grief.
