Questa without water for 12 hours Thursday

A contractor putting in a utility pole broke the main waterline into the Village of Questa around 3 p.m. Thursday causing water to go out for all 900 customers for 12 hours.
Thirty customers remain without water Friday as the water left in the line froze, blocking the line. The line into the wastewater treatment plant also froze.
Crews are working to break the ice in the line and get water service to the remaining customers.
Village officials say they hope the contracted workers responsible for the mishap will pay for the damage.
