Gov. announces student regent appointments

Gov. Susana Martinez announced nominations for the confirmation and appointment of student regents at the University of New Mexico, Western New Mexico University, New Mexico State University, Eastern New Mexico University, and the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
The terms for these regents will begin upon confirmation by the New Mexico State Senate.
Martinez is nominating Heidi Overton of Albuquerque as student regent for the University of New Mexico, Camille Hawkins of Show Low, Arizona as a student regent for Western New Mexico University, Jordan Banegas of Las Cruces as a student regent for New Mexico State University, Chase Sturdevant of Silver City as a student regent for Eastern New Mexico University and Israel Rodriguez-Rios of Socorro as a student regent for New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
