ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - The Bernalillo County Clerk's Office has certified 10 candidates to run for spots on Albuquerque's school board, and one of them is an actor from the TV show "Breaking Bad."

Steven Michael Quezada plays agent Steven Gomez on the Albuquerque-based show. He had announced his intention to run for the newly created District 5 seat in December.

There's no incumbent in that district, and Quezada was the only candidate to file for the position. The district includes parts of Albuquerque's West Side.

Three of Quezada's four children attend the Public Academy for the Performing Arts, a charter school where the actor has been active on the governing board.

The school district is planning a candidates' forum on Jan. 23. The election will be Feb. 5.
