Hundreds of jobs at the Hewlett Packard center in Rio Rancho are being transferred out of state.

An HP spokesman told KOB on Tuesday that 200 company jobs will move over the next few months to Alpharetta, Georgia.

A small number of people working those jobs may be offered the opportunity to relocate, the company said.

This latest news is just another hit to the company branch in Rio Rancho.

About 100 jobs there were cut earlier this year when the company made two major cuts nationwide last summer.

According to the company, all the cuts are part of a restructuring plan announced in May designed to “simplify business processes, accelerate innovation and deliver better results for customers, employees and stockholders.”
