A driver collided with an electrical pole near the intersection of Eagle Ranch and Paradise NW Friday morning, causing a power outage to over three dozen PNM customers in the area.

The driver’s car caught fire as a result of the collision but the Albuquerque Fire Department was able to extinguish the flames. The driver was transported to the hospital with possible burns.

PNM restored service to those customers who were affected slighly before noon.
