The interim principal of Montezuma Elementary School has sent out a letter to parents to address some concerns following Friday’s arrest of an educational assistant on child pornography charges.

The letter states that there are no allegations that any students from the school were involved. The letter also states that the assistant, Carey Gonzales, has been removed from her position and a substitute has been assigned. The letter also mentions that counseling is available for any students who need help.

Gonzales and her husband, former YAFL president Fredrick Gonzales, were arrested Friday and charged with manufacturing and distributing child pornography. The couple were released on bond Monday morning.
