Albuquerque attorney Sam Bregman tells KOB Eyewitness News 4 that he will run once again for state Democratic Party Chair.

Bregman said he is running again because he feels he has “unfinished business,” and says he wants to turn the state from “light blue to dark blue.”

Bregman, who has spoken out strongly against Gov. Susana Martinez, says the party needs to have a strong voice, especially to counter that of the Republican Party.

Bregman said he feels confident he could win.

Current chairman Javier Gonzales, who defeated Bregman in the last election for chair, is not seeking re-election to another two-year term.
