An Albuquerque woman convicted of careless driving for a deadly crash is now behind bars for drunk driving.

Carol Svinarich was sentenced Thursday for an August DWI arrest.

An officer found her in her car in a church parking lot. The officer told her not to drive, but she did anyway.

Earlier that same year Svinarich ran a red light in Albuquerque striking and killing a bicyclist.

She was convicted of careless driving for that accident.

A judge told her Thursday she should have learned her lesson.

Svinarich is still on house arrest from the careless driving conviction.

She was sentenced to 30 days in jail Thursday and a year of probation. She'll also have to have an ignition interlock in her car and go to DWI school.
