Flu epidemic claims 5 New Mexicans

The New Mexico flu epidemic has claimed the lives of at least five people this season. 

People ranging in ages between 56-94 have died in Rio Arriba, Bernalillo, Lea and Chavez Counties. 

The State Health Department is warning all New Mexicans get the flu vaccine, especially pregnant women, senior citizens and children. 

We heard of a reports of a flu shot shortage in Albuquerque. 

When we sent a crew to investigate, they discovered 4 out of 6 pharmacies visited did have a supply of vaccines.
