A lawsuit filed against a clothing chain will stay in New Mexico.
The Navajo Nation sued Urban Outfitters accusing the company of trademark infringement for using the Navajo name in a line of clothing.
The company's lawyers tried to get the case moved to Pennsylvania, where its corporate headquarters is located. They said the move would be more convenient for witnesses, and the case would move more quickly.
A federal judge agreed, but denied the change of venue because it would shift the inconvenience to the Navajo Nation.
