Woman falls 300 feet in apparent suicide attempt

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent suicide attempt at Sandia Crest.
The call came in to dispatch around 5:15 p.m. Deputies found the woman’s car and note.
Further investigation led them to the woman, about 300 feet over the edge.
KOB Eyewitness News 4 is told that the woman is alive and responsive. KOB 4 has not been told how the woman got there.
Search and Rescue crews are working to get down to her to determine her condition.
KOB 4 is told weather is a concern.
