A judge waived the first felony appearance in court for teen murder suspect Nehemiah Griego on Tuesday and ordered he continue to be held without bond.

The case will now go to a grand jury, which will have 10 days to decide whether to indict him.

Griego, 15, is accused of shooting and killing his father, mother and three young siblings early Saturday at their home in the South Valley.

He was not in court Tuesday.

The office of district attorney Kari Brandenburg said Tuesday it plans to charge Griego as an adult in the killings.

She will hold a news conference at 3 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the Griego case.
