People who received an email stating they're part of a class action lawsuit against Facebook are not being scammed.

Forbes reports millions of Facebook users are eligible for a small share of a class action settlement against the company.

The popular social media website was sued after they used users' pictures in "sponsored story" ads based on things they "liked," but things users "liked" were often taken out of context.

Facebook settled the case for $20 million.

Because of the number of users affected, the highest payout is $10.

If too many people make a claim, however, then nobody gets paid.
