ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say an Albuquerque man has been sentenced to nearly four years in federal prison for possession of child pornography.

Prosecutors announced Tuesday that 26-year-old Christopher Daves received a 46-month prison term to be followed by five years of supervised release.

They say Daves also will be required to register as a sex offender after he completes his prison sentence.

Daves was arrested last July 11 after an undercover operation initiated by New Mexico State Police.

Authorities say a search warrant was served at Daves' residence last May 2 and his laptop computer was seized.

They say a forensic examination of Daves' computer uncovered hundreds of images of child pornography.
