It’s a battle for the wolves.

The Nevada Wolf Pack are in Albuquerque to take on the New Mexico Lobos at The Pit on Saturday.

Tip-off is at 6 p.m., the game will be televised on the NBC Sports Network.

The No. 20 Lobos (18-3, 5-1 MWC) return to New Mexico after they split a two game road trip. New Mexico scored its fewest points in school history during the shot clock era in a loss to San Diego State, 55-34.

Despite the horrible shooting, the Lobos rebounded against a feisty Wyoming Cowboys team 63-59.

Nevada could use a bump in the right direction. The Wolf Pack (11-9, 2-4) have lost five of their last seven games, and bring the Mountain’s worst defense to The Pit.

Kendall Williams leads New Mexico in scoring with 14 points per game, followed by Tony Snell (12.0 ppg) and center Alex Kirk (11.3 ppg).

Kirk is also grabbing 7 rebounds a game, and his offensive production has allowed more room for forward Cameron Bairstow (8 ppg, 4.7 rebounds) to shine inside.

Nevada is led by Deonte Burton (16.5 ppg) and Malik Story, who has averaged 15.5 points per game.
