Firefighters respond to house fire near Santa Fe Plaza

Firefighters are working to put out a house fire behind the Plaza in Santa Fe.
The fire was called in around 8:30 pm.
It is on E. Palace just east of Paseo de Peralta in an old house converted into an office.
Our reporter on scene tells us the flames are 20 to 30 feet high.
Avoid the area as E. Palace is shut down and the road is clogged with fire trucks.
Crews are expected to be on scene for several more hours.
