Another person is planning to toss his hat into the race for Albuquerque mayor.

"It's time for common people to stand up and take charge and start giving common solutions to our problems,” Paul Heh said.

Heh says he will officially announce his candidacy Saturday.

The retired Albuquerque senior sergeant says the city is paying for the Berry Administration's mismanagement, and pointed to the Department of Justice's investigation into the Albuquerque Police Department as an example.

Former city councilor Pete Dinelli is the only other person to officially announce he will run for the office.
