Gun scare locked down Cuba schools

All three schools in Cuba were on a precautionary lockdown Thursday after someone stated they heard possible gun shots near the elementary school around noon.

Officers from Sandoval County, New Mexico and Cuba police investigated the allgation.

No shooter was located nor were any shell casings or additional evidence to indicate a crime had been committed.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 was told the schools were searched by authorities as a precaution.

The lockdown lasted for nearly three hours.
