An Albuquerque pet owner is charged with starving his dog on a small balcony.

Pictures of the dog show her so skinny, her ribs and hip bones are sticking out.  The dog lived in a small balcony for months before the city rescued her.  Some neighbors took pity on the dog and threw food up the balcony.

"You would always see her stick her head out,” said neighbor Dewey Fowler.  “So one day I bought some milk bones and threw them up there.  She was up there all day and all night."

The dog is currently living with a foster family.  If you think you would like to take her home, get in touch with the Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department at 505-768-2000. She does have some nutritional needs since she was starved for so long.
