SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - State transportation officials are looking to update a four-year plan for improving New Mexico's roads and bridges.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation is asking for the public to comment on the proposal by March 20.

The department will also be taking final public comment at the State Transportation Commission meeting March 21 in Albuquerque.

The State Transportation Improvement Program covers state and federal road and bridge projects. The projects are funded with a combination of federal, state and local funds.
