Albuquerque - or parts of it - got record snowfall overnight

Snowfall Wednesday night into Thursday morning was a record breaker for the season for the Albuquerque metro area.
The Albuquerque Sunport reports it got two inches overnight- more than it's gotten in the past year.
Another surprise for the snowstorm was that the metro area got more snowfall than the East Mountains.
In both areas, it caused delays, but wasn't enough to make people feel better about the statewide drought.
"We didn't get enough water in this area at all, and we use it all up," Patty Duncan said. "There's been a drought and naturally with the fire danger... We live in the hills so naturally, the timber, we're concerned about that," a Edgewood resident said.
Also worth noting- Albuquerque's West Side got absolutely no snow.
The National Weather Service says New Mexico has only gotten 49% of the precipitation it normally does between October 2012 and January 2013.
