People have another chance Saturday to turn in their guns anonymously to authorities, and get a little something in return.

At Bernalillo County’s first gun buy-back event two weeks ago 173 handguns, 122 rifles and nine assault rifles were turned in.

$40,000 worth of Visa gift cards were paid out in exchange for the guns.

The county has another $50,000 in gift cards ready to go for Saturday’s buyback.

The event will be held at the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office South Area Command, 2039 Isleta Blvd SW in Albuquerque. Guns will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
