Three foreign nationals are accused of paying $3,000 to obtain New Mexico driver’s licenses illegally.

They are all Ecuadorians who live permanently in New York. They were arrested Thursday at the state Tax and Revenue Department building in downtown Albuquerque.

Police also arrested the man they say was behind the operation.

Alvaro Vazquez-Rodriguez is accused of forging the documents the three foreign nationals needed to get the licenses.
