Monday morning on the Mountain West teleconference call, UNM men's basketball coach Steve Alford continued to praise the performance of Kendall Williams.

The junior guard scored 46 points against Colorado State over the weekend.  "He (Kendall Williams) has been a focal point," said Alford when asked if he would continue to ride the hot hand of his starting guard. "We don't expect 46 from him again, that was a special day. He's been very consistent for us and that's going to be his role. He can defend well, gets out in transition well, he's probably our best passer, he leads us in assists, he gets to the free throw line better than anybody.  We just want him to stay active and continue to do what he's done all year."
