LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - A taxi cab driver suspected in a shooting that injured his ex-girlfriend's new man last week in Las Cruces has been arrested.

Las Cruces police said Monday that 47-year-old Darren L. Henry Sr. was being held on a $10,000 bond on suspicion of aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence.

They say the victim of the shooting was transported to University Medical Center of El Paso and his injuries weren't considered life-threatening.

Detectives say Henry and his ex-girlfriend were involved in an argument when the woman's new boyfriend intervened last Friday night.

They say Henry drove his cab to his ex-girlfriend's residence and allegedly fired several shots from a handgun, striking the woman's new boyfriend at least once. Henry fled but was later arrested.
