Last summer we told you about a new Ronald McDonald family room being built inside Presbyterian Hospital.

Now it's time for a  progress report.

Recently, we stopped by to check-out the construction.

Crews just finished the drywall, and now they're focusing on electrical work.

When it's finished it'll include four sleeping rooms, a dining area and living area, a small kitchen and laundry facilities.

The hospital says this is more convenient for families of children staying in the hospital, and it's good for the children themselves.

Joe Rizza, the VP of the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation said, "Healing is much, much better and it happens much more quickly."

The room is slated to open the first week of April. Day to day operations will be taken care of by the Ronald McDonald House.

In fact, it'll be staffed 12 hours a day, so they'll continue to use donation money to help cover those costs.
