ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico Lottery officials say an Albuquerque man has come forward to claim more than $2 million in prizes in this week's Powerball game.

John Baker says he put five wagers on a single Powerball ticket for Wednesday's drawing.

Two of his wagers won $1 million apiece. Baker says he chooses Powerball numbers using a personal formula he memorized from when he used to play Keno. He then plays the numbers across multiple wagers.

Baker claimed his winnings Friday at state lottery headquarters in Albuquerque.

Although Baker declines to disclose his age, he says his birthday is next week and "this is the best birthday present ever."

He says he plans to spend some of his winnings and save some of the money too.
